Great Tool
Love this tool. I have 18V drivers, but 90% of the time, I reach for this one because it is light and compact, but with plenty of power for 7/16" lag bolts.

Big power, small package
Great product, I own several Milwaukee tools. I use this guy at work and at home. Team it up with an extended like battery and I have gone several days on one charge! Milwaukee has truly exploded with in the past several years with great products. I continue to wait and see what they come up with next. I highly recommend this product to anyone, regardless of experience.

Great tool, Great price.
I am an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. I use this tool on industrial machines and there has not been a bolt or nut less than 1/2 size socket that I have not been able to take out. Bits interchange easily and quickly.

Power to spare!
Power more than most homeowners would need! Never use on soft material. Ex. Pine, mdf, partical board. It will drill right through that type of material. Use the Milwaukee cordless drill M12 for that and turn the chuck down to 4-6 so that won't drill through the material you are using because that has a ton of power too!

New Favored tool for the crew
It isn't often that I have a new "toy" that the crew gets territorial about, especially in the M12 family. However I had a guy pull 'seniority' so he could use this one. We have a few M12 drivers of various models (great for putting trim boards on playsets & sheds) including a 2450-20 that I can't add a belt clip to (my only complaint over 3 years of use)

Only problem I've had is the belt clip is lacking some locktite or a lock washer, so the clip goes from tight to almost falling off really quickly. The unit I bought was reconditioned, so I'll take the few dollars in savings for the cost of a few drops of blue glue.

A few other crews have noticed my success rate with Milwaukee, and have started picking up M12 kits. My standard warning on this is: an M12 impact -can- drive lags and many deck screws, but I have my M18's for that. M12s will get hot and burn through batteries quicker if you're overtaxing them. My guys love M12s with the small batteries for trim work because they are light and tight, no bulky battery pack. But they get yelled at when I hear an M12 bogging on a lag. You can do a few, but switch to an M18 when you're doing 80.

Bottom line - I recommend the M12 impacts highly, we love them. They get wet, dirty, dropped, and keep going. They are a good secondary line for me, but they seem to be the preferred go-to for the crew.

Great for a 12V Tool
I currently have a full range of 18V tools, including an impact driver, but decided to try this 12V Milwaukee on the suggestion of a friend that it is lighter and easier to handle. The first project I used it for was flooring my attic with 1/2 inch plywood and 2 1/2 inch #8 decking screws. The Milwaukee 12V impact just did not seem up to the task of driving the screws all the way flush, so I would have to finish with my 18V impact. I also used it to make some wooden toys for my daughter, using 1 inch birch lumber, and the Milwaukee 12V had no problem with that. I would recommend the 12V to a normal do-it-yourself handyman, but more anything more than minor household driving, I think I would go with the 18V.

Great for steel roofing!
This has a great belt clip. It holds very well while allowing room to swing and move. This is wonderful for moving around and "bumping" into things. The clip works well with a belt, tool belt, or heavy pocket also.
The fit and feel in your hand is second to none. Driving screws, even through steel, seems second nature. The is plenty of power to go with it. Battery stores lots of energy and recharges very quickly when you are really taxing out the tool.
Very please I purchased this driver, and have every positive comment to make about it.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
