Details

MetalTech circular saw blades were specifically designed to exceed the expectations of contractors for blade life, cut quality, and speed in the most demanding metal cutting applications without a lubricant. A hand-tensioned, hardened alloy steel body extends blade life and delivers the highest quality cuts available. Carbide tipped teeth with Alternate Top Bevel grind shear through metal leaving burr-free, cool-to-touch cuts. Designed for use with the M18 Cordless 5-3/8 in. metal saw, these blades feature a thin kerf that reduces the amount of drag and resistance while cutting, resulting in more cuts per charge.
Features:
  • Dry cut blade - No lubricant required, saving time and money with less mess
  • No extreme heat buildup preserves blade life and allows handling the work piece immediately
  • No burrs eliminates secondary operations saving time and money
  • Lasts up to 25x longer than abrasive blades
Includes:
  • 5-3/8 in. MetalTech Ferrous Circular Saw Blade (30T) - 48-40-4070

I want to buy the 5 3/8 metal circular saw, which blade fits best when I want to change to a wood blade.?
Marv on Apr 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: same size wood blade, type of blade and teeth will be determined by the kind off material being cut and the type of cuts. Fine work and materials like paneing use more teeth while rough framing is done with fewer teeth and deeper cut. I use multi-purpose blade because the saw has plenty of power for large material but also more precise by weigh, smaller size, maneuverability, and thin blade.
My suggestion: purchase the metal saw "kit". Use for metals. Purchase the 6.5" 18 V Wood cutting bare tool and use it with your metal saw kit, charger and two batteries , I've been a B contractor as of 1991 , currently II build porches, steps, ramps, patio covers, etc. for seniors.the 18v Milwaukee circular saw cuts 1-1/8" T & G floor /deck sheathing just like an electric. With a couple batteries and charger its the only way to go, and light weight. Saw does not hesitate with fence all the way up more than my worm drive. Keep battery charged. I buy one kit and One tool only.
