This is only a 12V tool so keep that in mind
I purchased this 12 volt to cut down on amount of tools I have to travel on airlines with, any weight savings is a plus when paying for luggage. So I already had a right angle drill and a couple of right angle impact units and this was a logical step to eliminate another battery and charger setup to haul. It's not as good as my Rockwell corded of course, about the same as my Ryobi cordless, maybe a little better build quality, but run time is low, kills batteries fast, Slow start up, it does the job though for all intentional purposes.

Work some times, bad design
Love all of my other m12 & m18 tools. But hate the m12 multi-tool which I've owend for the last 2 years. The battery keeps coming loose and I've had to replace the locking adapter / retain disc multiple times. (Milwalkee has replaced the disk twice without an issue however the disc breaks so often that I keep few in stock (but at $8 bucks a piece, I'm looking for a different tool).

I got this Multi-Tool in a *non-FUEL* 5-piece M12 kit and it was extremely handy while doing window work with trimming wood, sanding, and trimming insulation foam overspray. I absolutely love how light it is with the 1.5A batteries.

Overall run time was superb with the smaller batteries - I can only imagine it'll go forever when paired with a XC 3.0 or 4.0.

An absolute must for anyone looking for a jack-of-all-trades tool in their M12 collection.

Good bang for your buck
I use it all the time, most projects I don’t even think I’ll need it, but it never fails to prove it’s worth. For the M-12 use at least a 3.0 ah battery or you might not make it through the task. If you want more power get the M-18. For a little version it is unusually loud, especially in residential/service situations. Overall this tool kicks a**!

It's a durable little devil !
The first use was cutting out around my front door to install new flooring and threshold. The second was cutting out an old fiberglass shower to remove from the bathroom. This tool is durable and forgiving, especially since I ran it until the shower was cut into pieces. With the right blades, there is nothing you can't do with it.

Not Built Well
I purchased this tool to personally use at my company for cutting in an electrical box into sheetrock or thin cabinets when no power is available, so only maybe 20-30 uses since new. While cutting into a sheetrock wall, tool quit working(head would not oscillate and loud noise when turned on). Sent to Milwaukee warranty, found it was less than a year out of warranty. Was offered: (1) to fix for $65.00, tool only cost $79.00 new. (2) Scrap tool to trash (3) Or my favorite, ship it back to me completely disassembled for $12.00

This tool looked brand new, meticulously cared for, etc Expected better from Milwaukee Tool

M12 Multi-Tool 2426-20
The list is endless on what I have used this tool for. The tool is only as good as the blades, so get good ones. It is also a great tool for detailed sanding. It is noisy, so wear hearing protection (as all multi-tools are).

24-26-80 and 24-26-20. What's the difference
Paul on Jul 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The 2426-80 is reconditioned and the 2426-20 is the same tool but new
Can this be used as an alternative to knife considering the safety aspects? Our company uses knives to cut Lino, thick rubber bushings and a bit of vinyl. So I am planning to create a safer environment.
