Great tool if you're a plumber or mechanically savey a good investment
I started my plumbing career in 1977 lead , galvanized, brss, copper so when I retire I need to replace the galvanize pipes to copper, in my parent's house my plans was to sweat pipes. So I called a plumber to give me a price the price was $1500. Ok cool so he removed the galvanize pipes and used copper & press fitting valves & press fitting elbows and tees. I was very impressed the way the tool works. He had a 18 volt Milwaukee press pressure tool I liked the tool I know I will not use the tool every day just once and a while so I invested in the 12volt tool, I have a gate valve in my home I unsweated the valve and install a 3/4 press pressure valve the tool works great I wish I learned about the tool sooner, I would have done the work myself.

no more solder burns!!!!
The most expensive tool I have ever purchased, but would purchase in a heartbeat again. The simple fact of no more soldering after almost 2 decades of burns and pinhole leaks. This tool makes being a professional plumber and gas fitter so much better. I have confidently increased my labour warranty from 1 to 3 years because of this tool. Thank you Milwaukee. Don't ever stop innovating. You have a life long customer here!!

Just pay the money.
One of the best plumbing tools ever designed. It is bar none the best way to join copper pipe. My goal is to never solder again. Tool gets in very tight places, batteries last a long time, the labor time is cut in half, no heat that could cause damage, no draining out all water from pipes. If you're a plumber and you know about this tool, why would you not buy it?

Sell sheet is misleading, showing the M18 in the pictures when they are selling the much smaller M12

Hands down a money maker
I bought the 18 volt kit first and I couldn't imagine there was a better kit out there after pressing a few hundred fittings on a single job I needed a lighter weight tool for the next one. Works as well within the diameter capacity as the 18 volt version without the added physical stress.

Good compact press tool.
The M12 Force Logic Press Tool also accepts Ridgid Compact Press Jaws and cycles fine when using them.
This opens the use of the tool to more options as Tom the plumber stated.
Also the M18 will take the Ridgid Standard Press Jaws.

Blows away my Ridgid press gun
I contiplated for weeks wether or not to go with another ridgid gun or milwaukee and glad I decided on the m12. It fits in most places my ridgid will not and is ready for another press quicker than you can move to the next fitting. With my ridgid I find myself pulling the trigger a half dozen times waiting for the gun to reset and be ready for the next crimp. Battery life is good even with the small 2.0 batteries. I was pleased to find out the m12 also handles 1-1/4 fittings and picked up that jaw the following day.

Great tool for plumbing service work.
I recently purchased this tool. I haven't used it a whole lot yet. We already have a coupe Rigid press tools but I have several Milwaukee M12 tools and thought that this compact press tool would be handy to have. I know that I will always have a battery for it. It is truly a one handed tool. It's great for service where you want to get the job done quickly. I only wish there were PEX press jaws like the ones we have for the Rigid 200-B. This M12 press tool would be perfect for Viega PEX.

The Milwaukee M18 press tool looks very appealing as well. I might have to invest in that one as well. I would like to see the prices come down a bit though.

Does this tool do copper and pex?
A shopper on Nov 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it can press PEX. However, you need to purchase separate jaws in order to do so. They're called PureFlow Compact PEX Press Jaws from Ridgid. You also have to buy Viega press fittings, as you can only press with those fittings.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
