Sometimes less is more
I purchased this item with a project in mind. Had a rodent get into my truck engine area and made a nest. In the building, it cut several bundles of wires. All had to be reconnected in some of the worse to get to spots imaginable! This cordless iron made the task a lot easier. Great that I had no cord to worry with, bad that the iron doesn't get super hot to make melting solder quicker. Battery life was sufficient for my use but it did deplete the battery fairly quickly.

Great tool!
Really nice soldering iron! Basic soldering done so far, 16 ga. wire, but it heated up very fast. Was even able to shrink heat shrink with it. Love the adjustable angle!

Really good, but not great.
I really like this product, it heats up quickly with a light to let you know it ready, and a light to let you know it's cooling down when you shut it off. The only reason I don't go 5 stars is the size or feeling of the unit. It's slightly awkward in your hand, the head will adjust but the adjustments are not unlimited. You only get 3 positions, they work, but more adjustability would make it great instead of just good.

Would I do it again? ABSOLUTELY!

Handy tool makes my life easier
I don’t know how i ever made it without this I’m 54years old and have been soldering since about 5 years of age went from having to plug in my irons to butane. I and have been using a butane iron for many years since i do a lot of automotive soldering but thats very touchy due to the open flame and heat generated out the side of iron have to be very careful not to burn seats trim and upholstery. I think this is one of the most handy tools of many i have bought in years.
