Awesome tool
I hesitated to buy this, as on the surface it does everything that my grinder already can do. But upon using it I was instantly glad I made the purchase. It's so versatile and can get into tighter spaces than my 4" angle grinder. I'll be using this on tile installs, and it's also great for coping miters on wood trim.

Can't cut a beer can? You have a bad tool or battery. I've used this to rip through 1/2" and 3/8 threaded rod, cut smoke pipe and cut through tile shower wall for a valve replacement. It can't cut deep, about 3/4", but it's so small and light it has it's applications. I actually mostly leave it in the truck so when I'm working and head out to the truck for a small piece of pipe or rod I can just grab this and it'll cut whatever.

Both the cordless grinder and this cutter seem to act the same. Low power and keeps shuting off when trying to cut
not the norm for Milwalkee . Dissapointment.

Love it!
Extremely handy, versatile and torquey, tool! Some reviewers mention a lack of power, one even saying it won’t cut a beer can, LOL. I wonder what kind of batteries are being used in such a case. It’s important to pair the battery with the application as there’s a dramatic difference in the power supplied by a fully charged 6.0 and a partially charged 1.5 ah battery. I think there’s a good chance we’ll see new m12 battery(s) w/ the 2170 cells at NPS’19 this summer, providing more power! Like all cutting/grinding tools the feed pressure used is important. This is in my top couple new tools for 2018 and I love having it for clean, low vibration cutting of drywall, tile, fiberglass, acrylic, plastic, brass, etc. I’ve paired it with the m18 backpack vac with good results when cutting drywall but I find there’s some technique needed and the correct rotation direction used when starting the cut to minimize dust blowing out. Buy it with confidence, always pair a fully charged/sized battery with the application, Enjoy!

Extremely versatile
I am a contractor. I do a lot of flooring, drywall, decks, etc. This tool cuts tile, stone, ceramic, frp, and cement board excellent and with more control. It's great for cutting cason tubes for decks also. I never imagined I would use this tool as much as I do. A vacuum hooks onto the dust shroud for cutting into drywall if you need to do a path or access electrical.

Great for fiberglass
Sadly, I often have to cut fiberglass at work. I found this cut off wheel works great on fiberglass. Like a hot knife on butter. Mind you it does have it's limits on battery time. Overall very happy with this tool. Just wish they would make a M12 backpack vacuum such as the M18 vacuum. Would be a perfect match for this tool.

Weak and powerless
Looked like the handiest thing since they put pockets on a shirt, ordered one as soon as I saw it. Very disappointed, it struggles to cut 20 gauge sheet metal. Destroys threaded rod, blade bound trying to cut a beer can. I couldn't afford borsch micro chain saw, so I use it to open cardboard boxes. AvE rocks
