Cordless is nice but drill lacks power
I like the drill but it seems to lack power. I am wondering if it has some kind of kick back safety or something that prevents the bit from turning once the going gets a little tough. I found this issue on my first drill and thought it was a defect so I exchanged it for another. New unit does the same thing. I believe my regular M18 can do the same job as this unit.

maybe depending on the price & how long this one
I'm self employed as an electrician, and use it for drilling 7/8" hole thru studs. It works good for that, but anything larger not well at all.

Love this thing!!
Job I’m currently on is a 4 story wood building , and the hole hawg just rips!! I’m a electrician and do mostly commercial work , but even then it’s great with hole saws for drilling panel back boxes and troughs! Plenty of power. When drilling 2x4 wood I have drilled 175 holes with 8 ah battery and 200 on a 12 amp hour battery on a charge!!

Great tool for a reasonable price. Works very well lots of power. The tool itself is very heavy like absurdly heavy. I gave it to wife to try and pick up and she could barely even hold it up.

What is the peak torque of Milwaukee M18 FUEL 18V Cordless Lithium-Ion HOLE HAWG in foot lbs? Also, I would like the same information on the SUPER HAWG. Thanks.
Jess on Jun 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't know the torque, but I own both drills. The super hawg is definitely geared to larger hole saws , 3 and 4. The smaller drill struggles on the larger hole saws but has no problem with 2 9/16 and the smaller

Is this model strong enough to us with the "cranker" for winching up sails on a boat? What is difference between the 721 and the 2707?

Can you use original m18 batteries ,i.e. Non fuel?
Jeff on Mar 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: "Fuel" is referring to the motor, not the batteries. All M18 batteries are compatible with this tool.
Hello,

Does it have two speed?

Thanks, Mario Bello
Mario Bello on Sep 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The drill is variable speed controlled by the trigger. See the owners manual. Last paragraph, page 5.
