Incredibly Powerful
I have always liked barrel grip Jigsaws and jumped on this as soon as it was available and this is a great one even being little heavy, a bit loud and getting use to the switch. But after the first week of use I will be using this over the one with the handle 8 out of 10 times. This saw is very powerful and has a longer battery life and eats through 1.75 " hardwoods like butter.

Good Tool
Been using this jigsaw on the jobsite for the last couple projects and would definitely recommend. The barrel grip seems to have a lower center of gravity and makes it more controllable than the D-handles. Sometimes I need it in somewhat dim light situations and the light is a big help. The on/off switch is a little different and took some getting used to but I like it better now than the old style on/off switches. Definitely want to practice with it a time or 2 before diving into your project. It uses battery but it's because it's powerful which you'll be able to feel right away when you start using it. But the bigger the battery the heavier but after some testing, the 5.0 battery is a good compromise and will last awhile. Overall, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite go-to tools.

What is the difference between the barrel grip model and the D handle model?
Intelligent A on Nov 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The D Handle version will have a top handle on the saw. The Barrel grip will not have the handle, you would grip the barrel of the saw. If you need a better explanation, you can reach the technician at 1-800-729-3878.
