Milwaukee String Trimmer
I’ve had my share of gas powered string trimmers and this trimmer is just as powerful. I also purchased the edger attachment which is of good quality and easy to change from trimmer to edger. This trimmer handles my 1/2 acre property with plenty of battery life left. If you want to get away from gas and a pull start this is a good trimmer for the job.

Worst Milwaukee tool I ever bought!
I have several milwaukee tools and enjoy to them so I spend more than 200 for a trimmer and loks without enough power to cut grass, is heavy and hard to manage, short battery life.

Home Run with the outdoor trimmer!
Bought the string trimmer and blower today to help take care of the yard. After using both of them for a combined time of 25-30 minutes, my only issue would be that the 8wh battery was not enough. Milwaukee has done a great job, just wish they would have supplied it with either 2 batteries or a larger one.

How about a powered pruning attachment?
I am excited about this tool am wondering are there any plans to have a powered pruning attachment, maybe with auto retraction for pruning of branches & pruning at height with extentions for branches too big for hedge trimmer but a bit too small for the pole saw? Also some competing product have a heavy duty powered broom/sweeper attachment to quickly sweep off driveways/sidewalks, etc

Super great string routing design
Great power, to replace the string, you cut off your section and shove it through the hole in the side, then turn the bottom. No need to have to take it apart. I bought it as a trimmer, I didn't realize you could get different attachments, mini chain saw is next.

Milwaukee String Trimmer and Attachments
Many people have called this tool heavy but I thought, "How heavy could it possibly be? The batteries aren't that heavy and the motor is small." Well I know now what they were trying to say. Here is my take, it's not the weight that's the problem, it's the weight distribution. This tool is heaver in the string head than my other trimmers. Much heavier, and that weight is hung way out there on the end of the tool making it seem really heavy making it a bit uncomfortable to use. The shoulder strap helps but it doesn't solve the problem but makes it a little easier to live with.
I'm not happy about it but for me personally, it's not a deal breaker. I'm still fairly young (65) and strong. We have the edger attachment also and I have the exact same complaint.
If Milwaukee could work on balancing this tool somewhat, it would be a five-star tool. Come on guys get some weight out of the string head and edger attachment. Lighter materials that are strong enough to be reliable may cost us a little more but would be worth it. Raise the price point a little and fix the problems.

Best line trimmer
Best line trimmer I bought. And I have gone thru a lot of them over my life time (65 years old)

Plus it's a Milwaukee M18, so it work with my cordless power tools.

Now just waiting for a lawn mower (M18)

We have 3 battery operated Milwaukee tools, a high torque 1/2" impact, a four inch angle grinder, and a portable vacuum. We are farmers, so we use these tools sporadically, so battery life is not an issue, as we have three 5.0 batteries. Will the 5.0's run virtually any battery operated Milwaukee tool? Battery life is typically not an issue with us, as we don't use them in a professional manner.

BEST ANSWER: I have used a 5.0 battery to operate my 2825-20st string trimmer. I prefer to use the 9.0 battery, but only because it allows me to trim more area without changing the battery. I have several M18 tools and in my experience they all run equally well with the 5.0 battery as with the 9.0 or 12.0 batteries, the only difference being the run time before battery change.
I have almost all the attachments for husqvarna. Wonder if it fits on Milwaukee 2825-20st m18 fuel?
