This battery makes the front end of my Sawzall lighter, due to the counterbalance effect of it being near my hand on the back end of the tool, making it very easy to use one hand to reach up and cut branches off.
A good pruning blade is a must-have for this task. They really zip though branches! As is good eye protection when cutting above your head.
Having and using my new Fuel Sawzall and this 12.0 H.O. battery is far handier and safer than getting my gas chainsaw out all the time, especially when trying to make cuts above your head.
With this combination I can plug along all day, and get a lot of progress made. Makes a big difference on hot summer days.
Typically I could get through a whole day of welding and fabrication work without changing batteries on either grinder when all I had were the 4.0XC batteries. With the 9.0 batteries these little grinders wake up! It isn't corded performance but it's damn close with the 9.0 batteries. With these new 12.0 batteries it's as good as corded for about 30 minutes or so of actual grinding time. They are at another level over even the 9.0 HD batteries. I was just hoping for longer run time, again, with the bigger battery pack. And again, I was very surprised and happy with the performance improvement of the tools using the 12.0 batteries now.
I purchased the 16" chai saw kit with the one 12.0 battery while there was a promotion to get a free 2nd 12.0 battery, and I jumped all over it. Super glad that I did. Whenever the pole saw becomes available I am hoping they have a 12.0 battery kit for it. With 3 of them you can work non stop and never run out of battery with a rapid charger, even with using the chain saw. How cool is that.
