I wound not buy again
Literally less than 6 months old, very little use... looks brand new. Battery just died, does not charge, 1 flashing light. E-Service does not take these.

Great at First
I received the battery with a rapid charger as part of the string trimmer set. It worked great and I could trim the whole yard on one charge. Now 2 years later after only about 30 charging cycles I can’t even do half the yard. I can view the battery life as 3 bars and then 2 minutes later it is out of juice. It has been stored in my air conditioned bedroom closet, never dropped, and removed from the charger as soon as it is done charging.

Won't change
Bought this battery pack and it sat in my packout boxes for over a year and a half now , I fully charged it when I received it and it worked a treat on my 7.5 inch circular saw, then when the battery went flat it wouldn't charge , just keeps flashing red to green . I've 6x 5amps and 4x 4amps and no problem with them .
Only my tools are cordless m18 and a few m12 and I wouldn't use anything else . Very disheartened tho on what should have improved my range

Never Again
I was so excited to to get my first Milwaukee tools last summer. I was ready to move away from gas to battery powered trimmer and blower. I bought a blower with the 9 amp battery. I have used the battery about 25 recharge cycles. Starting about 5 charging cycles ago the blower or trimmer would only operate about 8 minutes. I checked the the status lights before starting and it only indicates 50 - 75 % charged. Now when putting it back on the charger it turns green right away but if you take it off and push the button the first light flashes. I could have bought a lot of gas and trimmed for several years for the price of a battery that only lasts 20 cycles.

3 bars and dies shortly after
Started off well. The power is still great, however the battery now only charges to 3 bars in both standard and rapid charge. It also seems to die a lot quicker. In the beginning I would get a full days worth of work done all with just that one battery, however now it seems that I have to put it on charge several times a day

Issues with charging to full capacity
I have been a fan of Milwaukee products for several years. I use them in my business and at home. Every tool I have purchased is quality and stands up to heavy use. The one issue I have is with this battery. I have used it to power the string trimmer and the smaller circular saw. Two batteries came with the string trimmer and hedge trimmer. I have had issues with the Red Lithium battery 9.0 for several months as it only reaches two or three bars and typically only last a few minutes. The other identical battery is working flawlessly. Milwaukee any help you can provide to resolve this issue would be appreciated. Your products are 99% of the time reliable.

Never again
Been using Milwaukee tools for years. Still running sawzall for over 10 yrs and my Mil driill (corded) for so many I've lost count. So figured great I'll get a Milwaukee cordless and be done w/ it. So I bought the 'suitcase' i.e charger drill & 2 batteries. Well 2 month later1 battery quit charging .. fully drained place in charger red light solid.

Figured it's one of those things then 2-3 weeks later same on 2nd battery. So I go out and buy a new Milwaukee lithium battery and that one (oh which cost almost as much original purchase lasted 13 working sessions. Please know I am a software eng so trust me when I say my usage was minimal.

Fact is done w/ Milwaukee products as you should be too.

Can I use a regular 18 volt charger with this battery?
A shopper on Sep 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: As per Milwaukee's youtube video, you can use your regular M18 charger to charge the new 6 Ah and 9Ah batteries. It will take a while due to the larger capacity. Milwaukee's new rapid charger is 40% faster, which may be handy for these larger batteries. It is also backward compatible with other existing M18 batteries. I've only seen the dual 18V/12V model, but read that single bay models are coming out if you don't use both 12v and 18v tools.

Hi, how many mah's is this battery?.
Don G. Dardanelli on Mar 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 9 mah is Milwaukee’s rating on this battery. I have 2 of them and use them on my big blower and 7” skill saw. They outperform the 5 mah by about double. The 9 is a long run time battery that you will like.
