I wouldn't recommend this product
My review of this battery is the same as most of the others. For some reason I have only experienced this with the 9.0, and have had no issue with the 1.5, 3.0, and 5.0 batteries that I use routinely. Same issues of only charging to three bars and runs down faster than my 3.0 battery. I'm a huge fan of Milwaukee tools, but would avoid this battery like the plague.

Won't charge anymore
I had this battery for over 1 year and now I'll start having a serious problem because it won't charge anymore and I'll take care of all my tools and I'm a Milwaukee guy but they let me down with this product.

Bad battery after only a few uses
Got this battery with a combo kit of weed whip/blower. It has failed after only intermittent use this summer. Milwakee has refused to call back and will leave you hanging on the phone forever. Very bad product and even worse company to deal with.

Does not charge. Last month the battery indicator shows 3/4 bars full. 6 different chargers all show that it is at full capacity, solid green light, when plugged in. Now it is down to 2 bars, plug it in any of my chargers and all my chargers show full, solid green light. No issues with my other batteries.

Great at first then not so much
I tried posting a review about this but it mysteriously disappeared. I am having the same issues as others with significantly lowering run times over the last year along with the battery topping out at three bars on a full charge.

Charger goes to green as soon I plug battery in
My boss/friend bought me the m18 9.0ah battery for my birthday, I was well chuffed with it. Only problem is that it took 2 charges to fully charge it. Now when I put it in the green light comes on straight away to indicate fully charged, and will not accept a charge at all now.

Bought this with a trimmer/blower combo a year or so ago. Will only run about 15 minutes and when I put it on the charger it lights up green.

Terrible lifespan
At first was a great performing battery. Now lasts only a few minutes. As soon as battery is just under the 4 bars from fully charged, my trimmer shuts off. Put in on charger and it charges from 3 bars. 5.0 batteries put this expensive junk one to shame.

Was working great, but . . .
I bought the trimmer kit that included the battery and rapid charger. It was working great for the first year but just recently would only charge to 3 out of 4 bars on the battery indicator, and the charger shows full green lights. I used to be able to trim my entire yard and use the same battery on the leaf blower with one charge. Now it’s dead after about 15 minutes. It’s a good thing I can swap out with my 4.0 battery packs. I would rate it 5 stars if this battery didn’t start to fail after just a year. All my other Milwaukee products live up to their expectations.

Can I use a regular 18 volt charger with this battery?
A shopper on Sep 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: As per Milwaukee's youtube video, you can use your regular M18 charger to charge the new 6 Ah and 9Ah batteries. It will take a while due to the larger capacity. Milwaukee's new rapid charger is 40% faster, which may be handy for these larger batteries. It is also backward compatible with other existing M18 batteries. I've only seen the dual 18V/12V model, but read that single bay models are coming out if you don't use both 12v and 18v tools.
What is the weight of this battery?
A shopper on Oct 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The weight of the Milwaukee 48-11-1890 is 2.4lbs.
will the m18 high demand 9.0 work with heated coats ?
Gary E on Nov 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You can buy an M18 Power Port (49-24-2371) which WILL allow you to use the 9 Ah batteries with the heated gear.
I would like to rebuild my power plus 18v as lithium ion. What are my best performance/cost options for replacement battery cells?
A shopper on Oct 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Your question will be best answered by the manufacturer, who can provide you with the accurate information. The number to reach the technician directly is 1-800-729-3878 or online at www.milwaukeetools.com.
How long will the 9.0 run a Milwaukee fan?
A shopper on Jun 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I accidentally left mine on low and 18 hrs later it was still going.
Hi, how many mah's is this battery?.
Don G. Dardanelli on Mar 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 9 mah is Milwaukee’s rating on this battery. I have 2 of them and use them on my big blower and 7” skill saw. They outperform the 5 mah by about double. The 9 is a long run time battery that you will like.
