Not Sure on Reliability
I have two of these 9.0 batteries. Like mentioned in other reviews. Worked great at first but now one of them will not accept a charge. The batteries are about a year old. Will have to contact Milwaukee for warranty replacement.

Won't Stand up to long lasting daily use
We use Milwaukee M18 Products ranging from Portable Band saws and Die Grinders, To hammer drill and 1/4" impacts. The 9.0High Demand batteries are great for about a month under heavy use, then they wont charge. When Plugged in to the charger, the charger turns green right away and wont charge. Bought probably 10 of these and they all end up with about the same life span. We have been using the 5.0 batteries under the exact same conditions with years of life in them. The 9.0 just wont stand up for long.

Perfect Design.
My Brother worked on the Moon Car and the foundation for battery operated tools we have today. I have bought and used them from the beginning in hopes of encouraging the tech. First version pretty much sucked. Second version was miles better and truly useful and tough. Now the good news. These Milwaukee's are the best design of batteries and tools. Great Power. Long Lasting Batteries. Match Battery to Job for Duration needed. I dare say BETTER than plug-in or Internal Combustion.

Milwaukee's only three layer pack
Milwaukee's M18 1.5 & 2.0Ah battery packs have one set of five 3.6 volt cells in series that add up to 18.volts (one layer. The 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, & 6.0Ah battery packs have two sets of cells in series that are wired in parallel (two layers). The 9.0Ah battery pack has three sets of cells in series that are also wired in parallel (three layers), for a total of 15 cells. Adding layers increases capacity and decreases resistance; this generally allows the battery to run cooler. When compared to a single set of 3.0Ah cells, three layers of these cells gives you a 9.0Ah pack with 3 times the amperage capacity and flow rate, and 3 times the run time. I received this pack in a promotion with a rapid charger and the Fuel Circular Saw. If you have a high demand need, this pack is well worth buying.

Can I use a regular 18 volt charger with this battery?
A shopper on Sep 30, 2016
BEST ANSWER: As per Milwaukee's youtube video, you can use your regular M18 charger to charge the new 6 Ah and 9Ah batteries. It will take a while due to the larger capacity. Milwaukee's new rapid charger is 40% faster, which may be handy for these larger batteries. It is also backward compatible with other existing M18 batteries. I've only seen the dual 18V/12V model, but read that single bay models are coming out if you don't use both 12v and 18v tools.
What is the weight of this battery?
A shopper on Oct 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The weight of the Milwaukee 48-11-1890 is 2.4lbs.
will the m18 high demand 9.0 work with heated coats ?
Gary E on Nov 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You can buy an M18 Power Port (49-24-2371) which WILL allow you to use the 9 Ah batteries with the heated gear.
I would like to rebuild my power plus 18v as lithium ion. What are my best performance/cost options for replacement battery cells?
A shopper on Oct 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Your question will be best answered by the manufacturer, who can provide you with the accurate information. The number to reach the technician directly is 1-800-729-3878 or online at www.milwaukeetools.com.
Hi, how many mah's is this battery?.
Don G. Dardanelli on Mar 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 9 mah is Milwaukee’s rating on this battery. I have 2 of them and use them on my big blower and 7” skill saw. They outperform the 5 mah by about double. The 9 is a long run time battery that you will like.
How long will the 9.0 run a Milwaukee fan?
