M18 Power Source
This item would be so much more useful if it had at least 2 x 2.1A USB ports. Combined with the new high capacity batteries it would be extremely useful on a construction site to charge phones/Mp3s etc.

Power output is great!
I have the Power Source accessory in my toolbox at every job site, just in case I'm not close to an outlet (cordless tools for no power sites) or it is a long walk/climb back to the truck. If my phone runs low on power, this device lets me charge up fast! The power output is a USB port, 5 Volts and up to 2.1Amps. Quick recharge of a phone or tablet.
Just be sure to either disconnect the battery from the Power Source or switch it off, when you are finished charging. There is no indication light and it does not auto power off, when the device reaches full charge state.
The M12 Power Source has the same power output, but it does auto power off when full charge of your device is reached. So, a little more user friendly.

A "got to have" for heated jacket.
This allows you to hook up your M18 batteries to your heated clothing. I run my jacket on high for at least 6 hours on this. The only downfall is that you have to make sure to remove your battery when not in use or for some reason this will drain it.

Is there a usb to female cord adaptor I can use if I want to use a corded tool with my battery's . That would be great if I didn't have power to use my corded tools.
GK on Jun 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The power output of the USB port of this device is limited to only 10 to 12 watts of DC, . Any 'corded' tool would require well over 100 watts, as well as requiring 120 voltsAC. This will NOT work for your application as you describe it.

Does this product actually hold a charge? If so, how many Ah? I assume it does not. It is a transformer from 18v to 5v USB, correct?
How many mA does the USB port provide?
David on Aug 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is not a battery. It holds no charge and requires an M18 battery
to operate.
This provides two outputs powered by an attached M18 battery: a USB
power-only
jack and a jack for use with Milwaukee heated clothing designed for M12
batteries.
Milwaukee does not state the current capacity of the USB port anywhere I
can find.
I have read one customer comment that that it is only a 500mA port,
while the M12
Power Port (a similar device but for use with M12 batteries) has a
2100mA USB port.
Milwaukee does not state the voltage or current capacity of the heated
clothing
jack anywhere I can find, either. I don't know if it's a
current-limited 12V
output or a lower voltage.
Directing your question to Milwaukee is the only good reliable way to
get a
definite answer, I think.
Is the output 18v or does it step the voltage down to 12v for the jacket
Want2know on Dec 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It is made specifically to work with the jacket. It has the same output as
the jackets m12 adapter.
Is there a belt clip that you can buy for the 18v batteries because I do not like the felling with it in the pocket.
Jerry on Jan 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There is a belt clip made for the tools, but CPO does not retail a belt clip for the M18 batteries themselves
my son-in-law has the heated jacket I hear him say he wants to convert his m12 to m18 is this the adapter I need to buy him.
Lita on Nov 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Sorry nobody answered your question in a timely manner. Great site for prices but customer service can be a pain sometimes.

To answer your question, yes! This is what is used to use the M18 battery with Milwaukee's Heat Gear.
What is the actual output of the port, voltage and amperage?

BEST ANSWER: ????????Enter
What is that side hole for?
A shopper on Sep 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The hole on the side is what the heated jackets use to connect to the power port.
Is there an M18 power port that would provide an 18 volt DC output? I would like to use the M18 battery to power a G Gauge outdoor model train locomotive. I need the full 18 Volts DC.
