Milwaukee quality
Best tool for heavy use. Well constructed, good parts availability and lasts almost forever. The only complaint is when using small hammer drill bits you have to continue to tighten chuck.A small issue as most hammer drills tend to do this with 1/4" and smaller bits. The reason I bought this drill was the last one just like was stolen. You cant go wrong with Milwaukee tools.

This thing is a beast. I haven't used a better drill for electrical rough-ins. We are hard on our equipment, but this Milwaukee and the 7.5 version are keepers, lasting the abuse of rough-in after rough-in for years. Highly recommend it for residential electricians.

This is exactly what you'd expect from a powerful hammerdrill. Torque is great, it's well built and thought out. No downside from what I can tell.

This refurbished Milwaukee Hammer Drill is great!
This tool is awesome for the price! I've already used it on a few light duty masonry jobs and it performed famously. I'd recommend this tool and CPO to anyone!

Is the 5380-21 a variable speed drill? Any speed from 0-1500RPm, and any speed from 0-3500RPM?
Matthew on Nov 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The drill was delivered last weekend. It is a variable speed drill. The trigger stop only holds the trigger at the maximum speed position. The drill has more torque than any drill I have had the chance to use. The two speed change mechanism is not a synchromesh, so you need to change the gear position without the motor running (turn the chuck instead). Drills through a 2x4 with a 1/2" diameter sharp tool in under two seconds. I am very happy with purchase.
Is this drill made in the USA or in china
whiteye on Aug 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This model is made in China.

Can I get a 5/8" or 3/4" chuck for a 5380-21 hammer drill?
A shopper on Jun 27, 2017
I purchased this model refurbished and I just started using it. The bit continually comes loose while using in hammer mode. Does anyone know if Milwaukee makes an SDS chuck that will fit this model??

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
