I wood definitely buy this tool again
I mounted this router in a Jessem Master Liftll router lift. What a great combination. This router has so much power compared to what I was running before it seems like I’m running a stick of butter thru it. I wish I had bought this setup years ago. I have myself a small woodshop I make whatever my family members want. A lot of cabinets. So stiles and railes go thru this router. I have the 1 3/4 hp Milwaukee router, love it for hand held stuff. Used the 2 1/4 hp in a router table at the cabinet shop I used to work for, loved it. But this 3 1/2 hp is a beast. For the money there is no better one on the market. Milwaukee name says it all!!!
In my description it says ‘avid do it yourselfer’
but I built cabinets professionally for some years......

This is my second purchase of this model as my first router has seen HEAVY duty use over the ten years that I have had it. This model is heavy, but I have it attached to a cast iron router table. Used for many projects such as raised panels, T&G flooring, and architectural moulding. Quiet and smooth running compared to smaller sized models. Looking forward to having this new one for another ten years -at least- ...and definately worth getting the first one back in running condition. .. Examples of a custom built set of doors, galley sideboard, bath vanity...all using this model of router.

Glad I bought it!
Powerful, fairly quite. Dropped into my INCRA Mast-r-lift and bench dog cast iron table. This setup is insane! Only test has been a large miter lock bit in mahogany without precutting the 45 and it had ZERO issue. I would absolutely buy this again!

The best router I've ever seen. Mounted in my table, and can swing huge bits, cutting hardwoods and never "skip a beat"! I love it.

Ive had this routr for 3 years with no problems.
The best router I've owned over the last 30 years. I just wore out a 30 year old fixed based router recently. My next router will again be a fixed base for hand held use in my shop for cutting dovetails. Thanks Milwaukee..

Wanted this large router for a permanent mount in a table. I like the soft start and speed adjustment. Well made and powerful router. I also have the 2 1/4 hp version of this router, it has been a good and dependable router. I am not a professional, but have had no problems with Milwaukee routers. Good product, that I would recommend to others.

solid router
I use almost exclusively with my Woodpeckers router lift & table. Outstanding. Serious power, breezes through my preferred walnut and cherry with no issues. I use a spiral bit on the router as a jointer. Quite satisfied.

Superb machine
I bought this router as a replacement for an old Sears/Craftsman one I had been using for nearly two decades. When I took the Milwaukee out of the box and powered it up, the difference in quality was immediately obvious. It is quiet, powerful and tackles any job without any effort.
I have it mounted under a router table and the 'from the top' adjustment is appreciated, although you still have to reach under the table to lock and unlock the height adjustment. Perhaps the most serious disadvantage is the need to reach under the table to change bits. This can sometimes be a bit tricky, but is compensated by the pleasure using the machine once set up.
I rated the 5625-20 four (4 stars, but this is only because the system does not permit me to rate it 4.5 stars!
As an example of my satisfaction, I now plan on buying a smaller (1-3/4 or 2-1/4 hp) Milwaukee router for lighter, hand-held jobs. Great product, Milwaukee!

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
