I should have took the plunge sooner
I purchased this to replace my 22oz estwing. I went with the longer 18" handle to get even more power on the swing. I am still able to easily reach behind my back and put the hammer in the holder. The only downside is the handle hits the back of my knee while walking. I was concerned about the titanium being brittle, but other workers who have had their stiletto hammers for years said they put them through their paces and they are still holding up. I purchased a straight handle as well in case the axe handle wasn't comfortable, which it is. It's still good to have a spare handle handy for an immediate replacement.

Pros
Lightweight
Nice light hammer. It's as good as any titanium hammer I've used. I don't see any benefit other than the 2 oz lighter weight from the usual 14. It's not significantly smaller in head size than the 14. I'd go with which ever was the better deal, unless the lighter weight is what you're after. For a gem 4 oz lighter and a more compact head the 10 oz shines.
