GREAT PRODUCT. FANTASTIC DEAL
This hammer is great to use. It is well constructed. I have found that I don't have to use as much force to get the job done. The longer handle also provides much better leverage when removing nails. I use this product for general construction and handyman projects. I have Had my eye on one of these for awhile. When it dropped to this price I did not hesitate. Very pleased.

What are the advantages of having a poly-fiberglass handle? The comparable wood model is 1.8 pounds and this one is 1.86 pounds. Why pay so much more for .06 pounds heavier? Is this handle less apt to break than the wood one? Is it more resistant to transferring vibration to the arm? I noticed a comment about this model loosing the magnetivity on the head. Is that possible and does that happen?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, the fiberglass handle is less likely to break. And, less vibration is transferred through the handle.
